Cape No. 7
Really been a while since I've watched a really good movie. And Cape No. 7, in my opinion, is one of such. Hardly any movie captivated me with such a blend of humour, beautiful music, japanese, and amazing scenary. Not to mention the wide variety of people casted :p Would love to watch it again, perhaps not alone this time. Such it is the case when one is single, and whose guy friends mostly won't wanna watch such shows with just another guy (with the company of gals, they'll just ask where's the queue for the tickets, lol). Do wish for the company, but most of the gals I know are a. either attached or married, or b. won't give me the time of day or act as if I don't exist, or c. inconvenient to ask out for a one-on-one movie outing. I'm starting to get inconvenient questions on my singlehood from friends and family, to which I've been giving the "no career=no money=no courtship" answer. Heh.. Felt a prompting some time back from the Lord on this, that perhaps I have to wait a year or so before anything may start to happen. Which is a good thing, I think. Timing's not really right for me as well at the moment, as I feel I don't have the amount of finances I would like to have to properly court a girl. Then again, is my thinking and mindset so old-fashioned? People have been telling me that it's ok to go dutch, or that you don't need money to court a gal in this current day and age. I have no idea how to answer as such, other than to state my personal convictions. Which also leaves me pondering about whether I should adjust my thinking. Guess there's nothing much I can do other than to continue building the friendships I currently have and to keep my eyes wide open to see who may be the one. Not forgetting also to trust in Him who provides all my needs and to continue praying that my confused state will be made clear.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8
