Something to pen

Really have been neglecting my little page here in the world. Been busy, to say the least. Exams are over at last, and reservist begun right after (actually the day before my final paper). Which kinda sucked. Training's tough to say the least, especially with a new, heavier and very bulky weapon strapped to my back. As a consolation though, there were no missions, and thank God for that. Really need to get back in shape now that I have more time. Booked an IPPT slot for the 8th of July at Maju, so hope to get a silver at least. Though I hope to get a gold again after almost 5 years.

It's been really too long since I blogged here, and there are many things on my mind to write about. Now that my exams have ended, I have time to explore what I really want to do, especially in finding my niche in the economy. Still have no idea which direction to take. So can only do things for the short term and see where it leads and whether I'll be happy with it. 'D.S.A' (working title for now) is one option. Something which I'll be doing with some friends. Internet marketing as well, and not forgetting my idea of becoming a florist. Can only commit these to the Lord for now, and see where He leads.

Jon Lau's wedding just finished yesterday as well. It was fun, doing sound. Boon's infamous photos on the front and back of the music cd case was hilarious, though he hid the photos after that. Jon even thought of bringing down his A1-sized poster of Boon that he printed by accident as an appreciation gift, but didn't, in the end. After the wedding ended, I was totally knocked out and napped for a bit before the rehearsal for the night's Miracle Service. Which featured the testimony of an ex-nun (whom our dear Ah Boon is now crushing on, lol.. oops). It's good, to say the least. She talked about her experiences in training, and subsequent injuries (half her body got paralysed) and how she came to the Miracle Service back in 2002 and got healed. Praise God for that.

Looking back at the past year or so, it's been a really long journey, and I'm glad I managed to pull through, with God's Grace and His strength and with the encouragement of close friends. Shoutouts go to Ben and Liyen especially, for their ever valuable advice and encouragement. And to Felix, Colin, Xinyi, Wei Tsu, and Eliz, thanks for the encouragement you gave, and all the phone calls and smses and prayers, especially when I was at my wit's end, just about ready to give up on my projects. It's thanks to all of you, that I didn't give up and fought on to the very end to finish them and ship them to London. Some internal relations were affected in the run up to the exams though, which led to some very irrational and heated responses from my end. My stubborn nature to blame. I really have to learn to take things easy and be more patient. And definitely less stubborn.

" 'Because he loves me,' says the LORD, 'I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in times of trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satistfy him and show him my salvation.' " Psalms 91:14-16
